Brian Lang

Brian Lang Came to NIST in 2005 after receiving his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Brigham Young University with an emphasis on solid state thermodynamics. As part of his graduate work where he measured low temperature heat capacities of various materials in order to study magnetic and structural transition and to examine physical behavior as materials approach absolute zero.

His current research interests concern thermodynamics of biomolecules, including the binding of small molecules (ligands) to proteins, DNA hybridization and enzyme catalyzed reactions.
