Lyn Gameson

Lyn’s employment at NIST began with the Blind Audit of EPA Protocol Gas mixtures manufactured by U.S. gas vendors. This entailed development of analytical methods and correction models to account for interference between the gas components in the protocol mixtures. He has certified single component SRM standards and is in the process of developing new standards in support of the Hydrogen Economy. He has developed a novel technique to produce accurate, low level standards (in nitrogen) by cryotrapping the effluent from an appropriate permeation tube. Lyn has been involved in several Key Comparison studies.
