NIST Edward Bennett Rosa

The NIST Edward Bennet Rosa Award recognizes outstanding achievement in/or contributions to the development of meaningful and significant engineering, scientific, or documentary standards, within NIST, in cooperation with other Government agencies or private groups, or in cooperation with international standards organizations.

Sam Low received the NIST Edward Bennett Rosa Award for his decade of leadership in advancing the ASTM Rockwell hardness standard, which is one of the most important engineering documentary standards for the mechanical properties of metals.
