Abstract

The Infrared Optical Properties of Materials program in the Sensor Science Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) continues to upgrade its capabilities to provide comprehensive coverage of measurable infrared optical properties as well as to provide multiple paths for traceability to its for the user community. Upgrades include new and improved measurement instrumentation, new measurement methods, and the establishment of a quality system, supported by intercomparisons with other leading National Measurement Institutes (NMIs). Support for the community include the development of a new NIST calibration service, an intercomparison among users, and new Standard Reference Materials (SRMs).
