Transport Properties of Fluids near Critical Points

Abstract

This chapter reviews the currently available information concerning the behavior of transport properties near the vapor-liquid critical point of fluids and fluid mixtures. Special attention is devoted to the behavior of the thermal conductivity which exhibits a pronounced critical enhancement near vapor-liquid critical points. Approximate representations of the critical thermal-conductivity enhancement for practical use are recommended.
