Abstract

The presentation discusses approaches to effectively transition from mercury thermometers to alternative thermometers with the goal of reducing the level of mercury released into the environment from the disposal or accidental breakage of mercury thermometers. The presentation includes a technical discussion of alternative thermometers and their selection, calibration, and measurement uncertainty.
