| Title: | Surface Engineering Measurement Standards for Inorganic Materials |
| Published: | April 14, 2005 |
| Abstract: | The Recommended Practice Guide describes nearly 200 standard measurement methods (standards) used by the surface engineering community. The standards compiled address inorganic (metal and ceramic) materials used in structural applications. The Guide is organized to enable the reader to quickly identify appropriate standards by consideration of the type of surface to be examined, properties to be measured, and measurement techniques. An extensive key word index allows identification of comparable standards disseminated by ASTM International, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the International Organization for Standardization. The Guide was developed with the cooperation of members of the ASM International Surface Engineering Committee and the ASM Reference Publications Editor. |
