| Abstract: |
The replacement Standard Reference Materials [SRM 1941, Organics in Marine Sediment, and SRM 1974, Organics in Muscle Tissue [Mytilus edulis], have been prepared and analyzed for the determination of trace organic constituents. SRM 1941a has been issued with certified concentrations for 23 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons [PAHs], 21 polychlorinated biphenyl [PCB] congeners, 6 chlorinated pesticides, and sulphur. SRM 1964a has been issued with certified concentrations for 15 PAHs, 20 PCB congeners, 7 chlorinated pesticides, and methylmercury. The preparation and certification analyses for these two replacement SRMs are described in this chapter. |
