Abstract
Companies that in the recent past were primarily concerned with satisfying environmental regulations are finding that environmental responsibility and environmental resource usage are of equal concern. Looking forward, manufacturers will be faced with the need to make changes to their products and processes to accommodate all three factors, and to exchange information across the supply chain so that any new environmental objectives are met without sacrificing desired levels of product reliability and quality.Citation
