For the RoboCup2002 - Rescue Robot League Competition, new arenas were fabricated by Japan's National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Figures 1a-1d).

The RoboCup2002 – Rescue Robot League featured ten teams from six countries (Canada, Germany, Iran, Japan, New Zealand and US) who developed unique and innovative platforms (Figure 2).

AAAI - 2002 - Rescue Robot League Competition

The 2002 AAAI competition continued to use the NIST transportable arenas to host the competition in Edmonton, Canada. Eight teams from Canada, Iran, and the USA competed in three missions across two days.
