Dr. Yeon Seok Kim

Dr. Yeon Seok Kim is a guest researcher in the Flammability Reduction Group of the Fire Research Division (FRD) of the Engineering Laboratory (EL) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).  Dr. Kim works on the in-house supported fire safe materials project. Dr. Kim is studying the effects of the addition of nano-scale particles on flammability of commodity polymers.  He is also a project leader in work for the NASA Microgravity Science Program on ignition and subsequent flame spread over a thermally thin polymeric sheet in microgravity.
