The Business Systems Division provides state-of-the-art, customer centered system support and development services for business information systems at NIST and at eight cross-serviced customer bureaus within the Department of Commerce.

The Customer Interaction Center leads business process analysis for integration efforts of financial systems; conducts assessments of financial business processes; provides system application administration support for major business systems; provides customer help desk support; and provides user training on CBS applications. The Customer Relationship and Product Management Team leads enhancement of communications between BSD and customers; optimize customer awareness with CBS products and BSD support services; coordinate change process to improve efficiency and effectiveness of SDLC; develop business case and detailed requirements for user change requests; leads the integration efforts of business systems; and conducts assessments of business processes and assists in process reengineering.
