"Taken from 2003 House Conference Report 108-10 SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY The conference agreement includes under this section of Title II the Department of Commerce agencies responsible for scientific and technological research and programs. TECHNOLOGY ADMINISTRATION SALARIES AND EXPENSES The conferees recommend $9,886,000 for the Technology Administration's Office of the Under Secretary/Office of Technology Policy. Of the amounts provided, $1,000,000 is for the Global Technology Summit, and $1,000,000 is for the Networked Economy Summit. The conferees did not support the proposed language making a portion of the funding under this account available until expended. |
