Jill Kaufman's Bio:

Jill Kaufman ImageDr. Jill Kaufman is Program Director, Life Sciences Standards at IBM Life Sciences. Jill directs IBM's overall standards work pertaining to Life Sciences in organizations including: I3C, OMG-LSR, MGED, HL7, GGF, CDISC, HL7 and DICOM.

At I3C, Jill is co-chair of the Technical Committee. At HL7, Jill is co-chair of the Clinical Genomics Special Interest Group, which is focused on creating standardized interfaces to link genomic data to clinical information. Jill also participates in the Life Sciences Research committee at OMG and the Life Sciences Grid Research Group at GGF. Jill has twenty years of technical and marketing expertise in high tech industries including telecommunications, computers, and e-commerce. Previous standards work was in telecommunications where she was a Working Group chair and on the Board of Directors and Vice President of The ATM Forum (asynchronous transfer mode.)

Jill has a PhD. in Management at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. She has a Masters in Telecommunications from PACE University and a B.S. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
