Hau-Jian (Jason) Liu is a CNST Postdoctoral Researcher in the Electron Physics Group. He received a B.S. in Physics from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. in Physics from Colorado State University. His doctoral research focused on the use and development of a micro-focused Brillouin light scattering apparatus to study magnetization dynamics in patterned microstructures. Jason is working with Bob McMichael on developing new magnetometry techniques involving nitrogen-vacancy defects in diamonds.
