Suyong Jung is a CNST Visiting Researcher in the Electron Physics Group and a Staff Scientist at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) in Daejeon, Korea. He received a B.S. in Physics from Seoul National University, Korea, and Ph. D. in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining the staff at KRISS, Suyong was a CNST/UMD Postdoctoral Researcher working with Nikolai Zhitenev studying nanoscale fabrication techniques for novel electronic materials, and studying electronic transport in nanoscale organic and inorganic devices. He is currently working with Joseph Stroscio and Nikolai Zhitenev doing scanning tunneling microscopy studies and developing quantum Hall resistance standards using graphene devices.
