Recruitment Announcement
POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR IN NANOSTRUCTURED THERMOELECTRICS
The Energy Research Group at the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) is seeking postdoctoral candidates interested in pursuing research in thermoelectrics. The goal of this research is to develop and implement new methods to characterize nanostructured materials and thereby establish a detailed understanding of the mechanisms leading to improved thermoelectric efficiency. Hands-on experience is required with ultra-high vacuum techniques and transport measurements, along with a solid foundation in condensed matter physics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field, or equivalent. For information, please contact the project leader, Fred Sharifi (fred.sharifi@nist.gov).
For additional details about the CNST and its nanofabrication facility, please visit: http://www.nist.gov/cnst.
The Department of Commerce is an Equal Opportunity Employer. US citizenship is required; however, opportunities for non-citizens exist through collaborative research programs between the CNST and a university, national laboratory, or corporation. Please contact the project leader for more information.
