Peter Carmichael is a CNST Postdoctoral Researcher in the CNST Nanofabrication Research Group. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from Trinity University, in San Antonio, TX, and a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), where he worked in the fields of cell biology, signal transduction, and fluorescence microscopy. He then moved to the University of Texas to work as a post-doctoral associate with Dr. Grant Willson in the field of lithography and self assembly. Peter is currently working with Alexander Liddle on the development of new measurement methods for studying surface plasmons in nanostructures using novel visible light-curable photoresists.
