Employment Opportunities at the NIST CCC
The NIST Child Child Care will be expanding its services in the coming months and is now accepting employment applications. Candidates must have a CDA; however, candidates with an AA or BA degree in early childhood, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education are preferred.
Immediate Opening: Assistant Director
The Center has an immediate opening for an assistant director. Requirements for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- 4-yr degree in Early Child Education, Child Development or closely related field;
- Meet MSDE OCC Requirements for Directors for a center with infants, preschool and school age children;
- Minimum 2-years of classroom teaching experience in a childcare/preschool setting;
- Experience with State and NAEYC criteria
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation;
- Financial management and organizational skills;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Friendly personality and outgoing attitude.
