PURPOSE
This subchapter presents NIST's policy for the administration of premium
pay.
10.14.02
SCOPE
This subchapter applies to NIST employees covered under the NIST Alternative
Personnel Managmenet System and Federal Wage Schedule employees.
10.14.03
DEFINITION
Premium pay is additional pay authorized for overtime, night shift
differential, holiday worked, Sunday work , standby duty, administratively
uncontrollable overtime work, or availability duty.

REFERENCE
The Department of Commerce Premium Pay Handbook provides guidance and
establishes NIST policy for the administration of premium pay.
A copy of the DoC Premium Pay Handbook is available in the OU Office
or the Office of Human Resources Management.
